Doc Slafkosky stands on temporary pads installed along Main Street for the On the Waterfront celebration Sept. 4-6, 2009. The pads outside JR Kortmans, Kryptonite and Octane should allow some outdoor festivities that would have been severely hampered by the removal of the downtown mall without it. Originally the city had hoped to have the project substantially complete by Waterfront.
